I like OR, I might be a bit biased due to the fact that I lived my childhood summers in my grandfather's cabin, so it's welcoming to me, but even I can see the problems that it has.
Pure and simple, this game needs more things to do, have more random events, and more dire consequences.
That's why social mods are so popular because it gives the player more to do than make babies, kill someone or die.
You can have a nice world and backgrounds like SM and BB, but if there's nothing to do, it's just a pretty background with no interaction and fufills nothing, making you hunger for more, its a hollow shell of what it could be, its like making a cake without icing
