Of course I find this thread right after I buy it ahahaha.
Interesting, I remember reading on other sites how they recommended this EP the most after GT.
I also do think City Living is the second best EP but that is just because the EPs have been really bad so far.
And game packs feel like they would have done a lot better off as expansions, with more content to support the theme.
Best example is Jungle Adventures. They chose to basically bring back World Adventures. The world is beautiful, however, there is absolutely nothing in this world. It's all props, nothing functional. The only thing you can really do within this world is dig at piles of dirt and clear gates to access other areas with dirt mounds, which, with the new skill, give you an unnecessary amount of Simoleons.
The actual temple is barren, and their idea of "traps" was to recycle the Doctor career from GTW (for the third time in this game's lifespan), where you click an interaction, watch your Sim take notes, and then play a game of RNG before an interaction with a thumbs up icon shows up. That's horribly boring. It's no challenge, and it lacks depth entirely. World Adventures was in the right direction bringing some Zelda-like puzzles in the game. I would have liked to see more of that, rather than click, wait, and then click again.
jungle adventure feel like a cash grab compared to world adventures,
world adventures had three awesome worlds
and some good content and skills. you can do more with it.
to play jungle adventure I Am reminded of how much you cant do with it.
its the first pack in years i will never buy from the sims 4.
I stopped buying content for The Sims 4 after getting Cats and Dogs half priced. I would never pay full price for anything The Sims 4 puts out again. Simply put, it lacks quality, and there are other game studios doing far more impressive things with their franchises, with greater support from their publishers.
The Sims can call me when they resume innovation from The Sims 3, and they’re done with charging their fans 10 dollars for a hamster, recycled base game objects, and DLC for DLC.
Hi :)
i don't blame you. agreed.
I am starting to realise that this series isn't getting any better I have had hope it would improve and in some very small areas it as, but its getting smaller and smaller. and most importantly its getting more expensive and more and more less fun.
every attempt on past expansion packs are so very poor and boring.
cats&dogs, my pets first stuff, and jungle adventure, along with city living are so poor and lack quality.
I agree with you. the other franchises are doing more impressive games.
agree about the hamster and the recycled content. they seem to do similar recycling with some interactions to.
spa day
parenting
vampires
are the only packs to me that feel complete.
not one single expansion pack feels complete and whole
build mode tho not perfect either and create a sim are still the best parts of the game. after all these packs it still feels empty and incredibly boring.
