And if you don't buy this pack, you won't have fireworks for Seasons. Lovely.
Seasons doesn’t come with fireworks on its own :o !? That’s certainly something to bring to their attention (the gurus).
When people in the past complained about lack of interconnectivity between packs, I don't think they were ever advocating going down this route of "You must buy this pack to get fireworks for Seasons". The kind of interconnectivity that people want is that if CL had its own kind of fireworks, those would also work with The Sims 4 Seasons holiday celebrations. But Seasons would still have its own kind of fireworks by default. This doesn't feel like interconnectivity, it feels like intentional spreading out of content that obviously goes with one theme and forcing people to buy each pack if they want it.
As it is right now, if you don't have CL, there are no fireworks, and fireworks don't appear as an option when creating an Independence day (or whatever you wish to call it) holiday or anything. You have to have CL for this basic feature of holidays that was present in The Sims 3 Seasons. The same goes for you have to buy a Stuff Pack if you want to carve pumpkins, although that was available in The Sims 3 Seasons by default.
The fact that those features pre-existent in other packs interconnect with Seasons should be a base expectation, it's nothing to praise them over.
Who said anything about praise? I think that you and JoAnne65 totally misunderstood my post and/or I wasn't clear enough.
TS4's entire design philosophy revolves around making sure that no one theme is completed in a single pack. Period. Whether or not anyone believes that the packs are interconnected is neither here nor there because that wasn't the point that I was making.
The point that I was making was that it made no sense to try to inform the gurus of a problem that exists by intention. That's why JoAnne65's post tickled me. It seemed a sarcastic commentary about the way that TS4 is being doled out. However, I wasn't quite sure, so I asked. :)
You're both basically agreeing to what I've being saying almost since day one: TS4 spreads everything out. For another example: we got Parenthood and Kids Room Stuff and yet, we're still waiting on bunk beds. Piecemeal is the TS4 watchword.

@Cynna
That's a good point.
Made me wonder what would my opinion on Season be if I didn't own the million outdoor/summery themed stuff packs previously released for the game that enhance a lot of what Seasons introduced :/
There would have been a lot fewer summer activities, that's for sure. And still, TS4 managed to add no additional pool or beach activities.
Without the previous packs, the summer season would have had what? A sprinkler, a kiddy pool, and a bathing suit? There would have been nothing much to do at all. I'm fairly certain that anyone who purchased Seasons and didn't have Patio Stuff, Backyard Stuff, Romantic Garden Stuff, and Spooky Stuff are all rushing to buy them now so that they can add to the experiences that Seasons didn't provide.
