All of my Sims households start the exact same, with myself and my partner. I like seeing what kind of hijinks our virtual selves get up to, and it's fun putting us in situations where we can't (easily) be normally. How would we fare in a place like Mt. Komorebi? What would happen if we lived the dream and adopted an army of cats? It's a nice, fun way for me to immediately get invested in a Sims game.
(That and I can send them pictures of their simself being weird and say "It's you!") - Midevil_Chaos3 years agoSeasoned Veteran
That's one way of doing things!

What about you? Do you create The Family Midevil_Chaos, or what's your inspiration to start a household? - @Midevil_Chaos No, I usually create characters from shows that I like (animated shows and videogame characters).
I mostly create very different Sims from different backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles. Then I try and research things to get it as accurate as I can. I don't add my Sims to the Gallery though as I just can't bring myself to.
I think when I added Cats and Dogs and then Cottage Living, I created a few more Sims with similarities to my personality because I'm a countryside dwelling pet owner surrounded by farms lol 😁.
If I could be one of my Sims it would be Cinnamon. She's a florist and her house, Wildflowers is one of my favourites. It's up above the Brindleton Bay beach. Because I love flowers but am violently allergic to them 🤧 I've spent hours making flower arrangements with Cinnamon without the side effects.
I do often create different Lots based on my real life though. I added a club based on my clubbing days in my teens and 20s. It's got a pool under the dancefloor like a few of the Ibiza clubs I used to go to. It has a roped off VIP area, like the one I was once politely escorted out of 🥴 with a "are you famous, nope, get out". It also has a food court...which I really wanted at 6am in Ibiza!
I couldn't accurately create a Simself because my disability would be difficult to represent, my back looks slightly curved and I'd have to make myself an elder, to get the right shape as they have a kind of similar curve. Years ago I was babysitting my goddaughter and she made me in Sims 3, oh dear I did not look great! Then I felt really weird deleting me!
- Midevil_Chaos3 years agoSeasoned Veteran@EA_QueenBee Yes and no. I spent most time creating cast from the Big Bang Theory more than anything lol.
- BylineBelife3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Midevil_Chaos Nope. Did that when the first The Sims was released back in 2000. It ended horribly in a stove fire were everyone but my alter-ego died. Never doing that again. Today I have favourite sims that act as my avatars in the game, but they're not me.

Unless I am wrong (as I am no doctor), are you referring to something similar to scoliosis? Whatever it is, I am sorry to hear that. Life is a pain, that's for sure - both physically and mentally. I'm sorry to hear about your allergies to flowers. I can't imagine being allergic to flowers, considering they are everywhere. If anything, I'm one of the somewhat rare person that "suffers" from the photic sneeze reflex. I can't remember a day that I haven't sneezed XD
Ibiza...? Now I have to listen to We're Going to Ibiza by the Vengaboys. Do you live there? I've heard people say it looks nice and all. Although I can't relate to partying lol, as I've never partied in my life - I have ask because I am genuinely curious to know: what is "fun" about partying?
You should totally upload your sims :D I uploaded plenty of mine. Who knows, you might have downloaded some of them looool. - EA_QueenBee3 years ago

@BylineBelife,
I can't imagine what would have happened if that happened to young me. I remember back when I was playing the original Sims I gave my sim a wooden chair in front the of the fireplace so he could sit somewhere and get warm. Cue one house fire later, and I didn't play the game for about two weeks because I was so sad. - BylineBelife3 years agoSeasoned Ace@EA_QueenBee I wasn't even young. Just about to become 40 a few months later. Still, it gutted me, and I lost the desire to play for a while. I think that's why I still mainly focus on building rather than playing.
