- GrumpyGlowfishSeasoned NewcomerMy simself was among the first things I created every time I started playing a new Sims game. It's not my most played sim, but the most reused one, because there is some version of me running around in almost every save. The amount of realism varies, as my simself looks and acts like me most of the time, but usually has a much more interesting life. (And as an introvert with a boring day job who spends her free time writing novels and playing video games, I don't have to try very hard to come up with something more interesting than that.)
The most extreme thing I ever did with my simself was in TS2. The plan was to create my ideal life in a new save, but my conflicting interests and ideas about what that life should look like made it difficult to decide on one specific direction. So I made something that must come across as super narcissistic, but was really just an experiment to figure out what I wanted: An entire town filled with different versions of me. One was a reclusive and somewhat creepy witch practising magic by herself in an old-fashioned cabin in the forest, another was a secret agent saving the world by day and exploring the stars by night, yet another was a famous writer living with the man of her dreams, then there was the crazy cat lady living with four cats representing the four elements, an evil version aspiring to rule the world, etc.
What came out of the experiment? Well, nothing I didn't already know. The real me is a mixture of all those things, and I think my newest simself in TS4 reconciles them quite effectively: A magically gifted writer and leader of the astronomy club living in the forest of Glimmerbrook with a cat familiar and an angelic boyfriend who is a secret agent. I haven't played with her in a while, though, since she has achieved everything I wanted for her, and that's usually the point where I move on to other sims. - QueenSaraphineSeasoned HotshotMy emotional personalities change from time to time, right now I’m going through a “hate phase” where I despise humans especially adults and young adults (I belong to the second category myself)
And being able to play these phases out in sims help me not to be rude irl to the people I meet. Cause I know it will pass and then I’ll be ashamed of how I was acting.
I always make a new sim for this so I have several “me sims” I’ve played with. - simsimsereRising ScoutWerevolves! <3 Now to the question: I have created a simself and I like to update them from time to time. I have also played with my younger simself until they were YA. I revamped the save (it's a Harry Potter world), but I haven't touched it for years. I might play them again, but have no current plans to do so.
- Idk I have simself and I sometimes play her and snap profile pics n such for fun
or test things i don't plan to add to my main save
that being said she is more of my evil clone really and therefore free to do whatever instead of staying to character

Outside? Me.
Inside? Sim.
also don't really make any other real people lookalikes for my game cause thats where it starts being too weird to me
like joking with myself is fine but i don't want to have to explain why someone else is doing something in my game  - Brd709Seasoned VeteranYes I do. In my current save which i've been playing since February last year, he's had 6 kids and 13 grand children so far. He married Liberty Lee and have been married 7 sim years.
- BylineBelifeSeasoned NoviceI had several incarnations of my Sim Self in the Sims1 days, but after dying one to many times, I've never done it again.

No I can't do it. I made one before just to see if I could make myself and it creeped me out almost like a voodoo doll. So then I evicted myself and made myself a Townie. Everytime I popped up on my sims I felt creeped out again ?? quick delete.
The most I have made since then is a sim that looks "similar" to me since we got the South Asian kit, which doesn't bother me and is kind of cool. But to see my twin is a no no. And I made a sort of toddler version that resembled me as a toddler. But besides that I really want to know and feel like I'm playing a fun video game VS trying to live through it. I have these huge mirrors in my house because I practice and learn dancing, (traditional as well as other styles)
I think that's enough of seeing myself ?
I have no problem with how people choose to play. Simselves didn't start with ts4 and I try to respect all the different playstyles, but I think when EA makes the focus of their promotion the simself and representation it ultimately leads to more confusion, nerfing, and outrages because people get so absorbed and forget this is "just" a game. It seems like they think it's real life and they must fight tooth and nail to make sure everything is 100% accurate to life and justice is upheld.
But games as I've always known them are wild, games are glitchy, games are silly, buggy, weird, inaccuate, fantasized fun and senseless. Games are the manifestion of a vision the Devs dream up for it in order to transport you to another world.
I feel like once that is forgotten it stops being a video game. - IsharellNew SpectatorFun survey, I liked the choices. I had to vote with my heart, so #justiceforoccults. However, in all seriousness, I have never created a simself. The idea feels weird to me, almost creepy in a way, but I don't know why. I have created sims with similar personalities and interests, but they don't look like me and definitely don't live the life I lead. I've also never made sims who look like family or friends. Or enemies either, lol.
- I made my simself and one of my coworkers for fun and both sims are so spot on it's kind of uncanny. I feel weird when my simself shows up on a lot. My coworker says the sim I made for her looks more like her than she does. lol
- DaWaterRatNew VanguardI mostly use my Simself to start new saves where I plan on mostly building, or when I'm re-attempting to make a template save. I import her into the starting CAS when you start a new save, tuck her away in a starter house or apartment, then move on to whatever else I was planning to do in the save.
On occasion, I'll pull her into the game to take some screenshots, or test the playability of a community lot.
I've no intention of ever actually playing her.
