I'm looking for something specific but maybe others would like to know also for how they play so I'm going to leave it open. I like keeping Maxis builds in my game. I'm hoping to find someone that goes in and refurbishes them and then uploads them on the gallery. I'm mostly writing this because I have all the packs and every new expansion has to be redone (and bleh.. I don't like doing it.)So here's the questions if you do this:Do you use all the packs that are available to you? Do you use MOO? Do you use it heavy or light?Do you playtest?Do you keep them looking basically recognizable?Are you clutter heavy or light?Are you garden heavy or light?What is your gallery name?Also if you re-imagine them feel free to post also.This isn't a hate on builders or opinion thread. I'm just trying to find a match is all, and maybe this will be useful for some other players.What I'd like: I'd love all the packs that makes it look good. Little to no MOO. Clutter and garden light and heavily playtested (preferably revamped by more of player than strictly a builder). I also want to be able to recognize them as the Maxis builds for the most part although this could vary if they don't make sense to me especially flow wise (like the gym in GT and having to go downstairs and up to use it). @Hermitgirl, several folks do regular refurbs. Some use all the packs they have available, some try to stick to base game (not too many of those).It's easy to find a ton of the refurbs in the gallery, just search by hash tag and for your hash tag use the name of the original lot. You will get several hits for every single EA lot except the new town just added if you do this. There are several really good ones for almost every lot as well, and usually one or two that keep the spirit of the original Maxis lot. Even the new neighborhood already has at least a few refurbs up already that you can find with the hashtag search.

I remodeled Ragdoll Refurb in Brindleton Bay into a gym that's available in my gallery (there's a link in my signature). I also turned Catarina Lynx's house into a restaurant that I still have to finish decorating before I upload, but it should be up soon. I plan on revamping even more lots in the future.edit; There's also an apartment remodel in my gallery if you're looking for any of those and I have a few more I can upload later.

Thanks @sunblond. I put it in my game and looked about. Matching chairs in the kitchen ect also lol. This is basically what I'm meaning.

Thanks @Stormkeep. I know I have looked but with the glut of hashtags and various names and differing likes I often give up looking that way.
I thought a thread could help me or others... it might not. It might even inspire some folks to upload their favorites instead of hoarding them in their games :). Just another way to find what we want. I'll keep searching that way also!

I may refurb a house in my own game, but I wouldn't upload it to the Gallery. I even took a house from said Gallery and it wasn't complete on the inside. That's okay with me. Finishing work is sometimes just as much fun as building it from scratch. I ended up after playing in said lot, adding onto it. I made it a two-story and wanted to share what I had done. I tried to contact the initial builder, to seek permission to do so, but they never got back to me. So, it's in my game, only.

Thanks all. @GalacticGal .. I was just meaning Maxis made builds not other player made builds. I'm not even going there.

Those are great questions! And especially the play test one!

For me, IF I use a gallery build I almost always download it unfurnished.

The terrain tools are going to make it tougher to get a good build that is fully functional. I downloaded one I liked and a staircase disappeared and there was no way for me to add one.

And I guess this is why I build my own even though they aren't as fancy or as nice as some on there. At least I know it works and is playable.

I refurbished a couple and post them. I always try to keep the original spirit, but with updated content from future packs that make sense.

For example, starlight gazer lounge; the really fancy high rise in san Myshuno. I slightly updated it to have a rope barrier that only allows in celebrities. It also has a piano for entertainment now and a chocolate fountain and buffet.

The park in willow creek was given swings, a wishing well and a toddler and basketball section.

Don't think I upload most of mine though.

I do have a library that fits forgotten hollow though on the gallery if that's something youre interested in.
