Does cooking a single serving take as long as a family or group meal?

I always make group meals, at least 1-2 of them for larger households and store them in the fridge. I let them eat it up until there's only a few left and I use whichever Sim who has freetime (usually the one who has the most cooking exp) cook up the next set of group meals to store in the fridge. Family dinner time wastes too much of their time.
