Easiest way to transfer custom photos between game saves?

Long ago I played the back story for one of my households, creating a few deceased family members in order to create some family photos for the wall. Then I back-uped, but for some reason I continued to play a different save. Now those photos exists in an old save only, and not the save I played through years.

So, I need to transfer the photos from the old save to the new. How can it be done?

Will custom photos be safe if I save a room to my gallery, then DL that room into my new save?

Will custom photos be safe if in the inventory of a sim that is uploaded to my gallery, and then DLed to my new save?

Other ways?

  • The best way to test this out in your game. Keep the original game save, but then do what you are asking about. This is what I do when I'm not sure of something. The only thing that might happen if the painting was done by a certain sim, who painted it will be lost, their name not the painting. But then again I've seen the game lose that information in the same game save, which I really wished there was a way I could stop that.
  • This time it's about photos on the wall, not painting. Not sure if that makes any difference technically. Name f photographer is not important, I mainly wants this household to have the photos on the wall, visually.

And yes, I too have seen painting details going lost over time. It's a little sad if it was painted by a long lost relative, but it's just one of those details I can live with. I pretend the painting is so old that nobody can remember who made it, and the artist forgot to sign :)
