Eco living sun rays

I've been looking for a mod to remove the eco green sun rays. They not only make the game lag on medium to large lots, they also hurt my eyes. I am hoping that someone knows of a mod floating out there, and if so, please, save my eyes, and post a link to it! Many thanks in advance.

Oh wow, never seen this before!
I made all my world green via cheat. But so far I just saw once the aurora lights at night and that was in Evergreen Harbor. I have never seen them in other worlds, how come? And sunrays? Not even in Evergreen Harbor! Is there any sepcific Season for them to apear more often?
I have completely turned off Eco livinig in my game. Is this the reason? But as I said, I made all worlds green via cheat.
  • I've only seen them in map view. Are they in live mood, too? Ouch, I better pay attention. I'd need to turn them off if recording video on that lot.

If you find no mod, you could always use the cheat for setting the pollution state to neutral.
  • I dont have an answer, but I am finding this too. It just looks like the screen is flashing and it's really distracting and annoying. I'm aiming to just keep my lots in neutral from now on.

Ive been trying that as well. but it seems like if your sims have even a small garden the whole neighborhood goes green. I have one house that is in a neighborhood that has only two lots, I've made many walls and floors eco-industrial, run a fireplace constantly, no eco friendly anything in the house, but heaven forbid they grow their own potion making supplies! the garden only has 11 plants total, and the whole neighborhood goes green. I even tried leaving the game, reloading it from earlier that day when it was neutral, turned off the eco effects. all that did was turn off the eco status bar...I later got a notice that the eco footprint was green, and those miserable sunrays came back. I had to finally move my sim to a different neighborhood.

That's weird, I usually have large gardens (now in Hydroponic planters, because I got tired of sprinklers not watering my plants), upgrade basically everything in the house, eco-green floor/wall covering, dew collectors/wind turbines etc. And only the house my sims live in is green. The rest of the neighbourhood (4 houses, currently Lani St. Taz, Sulani) are neutral.

So far, no sunrays/aurora in my current house. Would very much like to disable it too, wherever I see them. They are very "intrusive".

On some lots the sunrays just get way too bright and it is not possible to even look at the screen anymore. For example, Magnolia Blossom Park is always green and the sunrays are visible without any issues. When I recently played in the Bedrock Strait neighbourhood in Oasis Springs and the neighbourhood turned green, it was unbearable. I was playing on one of the small lots and at some angles I couldn't even see anything but the sunrays. I tried to continue playing for 2 Sim days, but then I gave up and cheated it back to neutral.

It's not to bad if you only have the rays on one district in a neighborhood, but I had them on all the districts in one of my neighborhoods and I could not see anything unless I was zoomed really close to my sims lot, the lighting blinded me completely. I had to turn all but my played district to neutral. It can be pretty, but as is it is just to bright with all districts green.

(Please don't take this the wrong way)
Have you checked your monitor settings? Or have a very bad graphic card? Because this is very odd to me; I have no problem seeing / not being blinded anywhere but I also have no problem with "badly lit houses" that a lot of people complain about and which I am convinced is a graphic card issue.

    No worries,
I have no issues with badly lit houses others have had either. My lighting has always been fine up till now. Even so, it only happens if I have every district in the neighborhood green, so I just won't have any of them green except the one my sim is living in. My graphics card is the one that came with the computer when I bought it , so while it was top of the line then, it is kinda old now, I am not having any other graphical issues however and I play plenty of other games just as graphically intensive as this one.
