That’s really exciting! So many fans have been begging for it for years now. I do wish they delivered it sooner and put more resources into improving emotions/Sim AI over the years. I mean, the game’s focus was all about emotions and it took a whole 6 years for them to add a whole new one for the first time.
Ikr? I am so happy they finally did it, even if they should have done it way before. <3 now I have hope for the other big requests, including a baby lifestage overhaul, cars, and possibly hair and eye color sliders too? Omg I cant wait to see what this year has in store for us and TS4! - Just watched the trailer for the pack. I will get it for the new items, but will wait for at least a half price sale.
- I wonder if there will be a fear emotion death? I'm honestly not sure whether I'd want there to be one anyway, but I'm curious whether they have abandoned that route for emotions or not. It would be the kind of emotion to do it if they're still doing that, but idk if they are, ya know.
- Can we pick what sims are scared of and how does it impact gameplay apart from being an emotion buff?
- Yeah, more excited for that BG update than the new stuff pack. It's about time they added such a basic human emotion into the game, but better late than never, I suppose.

Oh, there absolutely should be one. If they haven't added it yet, they need to do this. "Scared to Death" makes more sense than dying from telling too many jokes.
One of my most memorable moments playing the Sims 2 was having Alexander Goth unexpectedly drop dead after being scared by the ghost of Cassandra. - Gemmie125 years agoNew VeteranI'm also happy that this emotion is being implemented in the upcoming update. With the Tense emotion I would often think of stress and whatnot, not fear. That said, the conversions of certain moodlets to fear will make more sense.

Wow, only took them 7 years to add this.
Weird right? They make over 30 packs but they don't add a scared/fear emotion until 7 years later which could have improved so many of those packs (vampires and strangerville for example) back then.

Actually now that you mention it, it's weird how they made the StrangerVille exclusive "Possessed" emotion years before we got fear. - LiELF5 years agoLegendI still can't even believe it's happening. This has been the top of my wishlist since Vampires. I do hope they remembered to make Sims fear Vampires when they see them bite someone.
I imagine since it's a new emotion altogether, there will be some things overlooked and more tweaking will be needed. But that's fine with me. I'm just so happy they did it, I was doubting it would ever come. I'm going to take a hundred Zillion screenshots of Sims in terror and I hope everyone else will too, so I can see them and rejoice. <3
