I mean, it's not like he said anything that wasn't obvious. Another pack is always on the way, until they say they're done with TS4. And "it fits into my let's play" is too vague to really mean anything. I would normally agree, but he 'revealed' so little that I don't get all the suspicion.

I'm not disputing that there is another pack coming. And there will be another after that, and another, etc. What I am disputing is the oh I know what it is and it is going to be so great and it is going to fit my playthrough perfectly. Maybe this YouTuber does know, but perhaps you will excuse me if I remain skeptical about the veracity of claims made by talking heads on the internet. After all, YouTube told me that the Earth was flat yesterday.

I get that, I'm just saying he didn't really make a weighty enough claim to warrant so much speculation about whether or not he actually knows. I don't trust YouTuber 'leaks' either, but this one isn't even news, in my mind.

Do you really think EA would tell him of all people information and not anyone else? Not to be rude but even if they wanted a YouTuber to hint for hype, they would choose someone like deligracy who is more relevant I guess.

It’s most likely all game changers know. Some admitted when toddlers released they knew toddlers were coming and one youtuber played cats and dogs and seasons a year before release, they just weren’t allowed to disclose it.

A year ahead of time seems far fetched, since they missed so many bugs in those two EPs. Beta testing seems like it would be after things are just about finalized.

I agree with you, I’m only reporting what this game changer said. They are very highly thought of and they appear to get insider knowledge before even other game changers at least according to the one I spoke to. I don’t think they would lie or exaggerate considering it would cost them their place in the programme.

It is really hard for me to believe, Maxis told them (I don't know of whom you speak) we are building toddlers, but don't say anything. That would have been leaked by someone so fast our heads would spin. That was the number one complaint and there were quite a few sites who were getting the lo down about a lot of things (that Spanish site leaked a lot of info) and leaking, which turned out to be true, so it makes me think none of them knew about toddlers for sure or we would have gotten some major hints and leaks.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that the game changers get insider info in advance. They have to sign a non-disclosure agreement for a reason.

Frankly, any official EA Game Changer that says they have info about future stuff probably does. No harm in that, it’s what the program was designed for.

I don't disagree with anything in your comment, just a couple of things to add. Firstly, I don't think it would be possible to grow a YT channel of that size without click bait. Secondly, the hint is not the content of the pack or that a pack will be released one day. In my opinion it is that the release will be soon. I would assume by mid-October. Otherwise he just told a bunch of Simmers to expect new content and the community is not necessarily known for its patience. But that's just my interpretation of the situation.

But a release in Octorber or Novemember is 'soon'. That's not news, either. Anyone who has played TS4 these past four years know the game gets an update in the fall.

I never said I thought it was a big deal or a peak behind the curtain. As OP said, the channel is hinting at new content. I think it means it is coming in the first half of October rather than later in the fall. Whether this is something to get excited about is a different question. I was more interested in the thread because of the dismissive attitude of a few posters towards a Game Changer with a non-English speaking YT channel, to tell you the truth.

Whoever he is, he seemed excited and decided to share his excitement with his subscribers. That's all.

Personally I have a lot of mixed opinions about him, but trying to be as objectively as possible here - He's not known for clickbait. He may have had some videos with clickbait titles but thumbnails and everything usually revealed immediately that he wrote the title with a winking eye. I don't understand why you would think people can't be successful without clickbait.
I would rather consider this thread title here clickbait because there's absolutely no info about new DLC at all - He just says in the middle of his Let's Play that there will be new content he's excited for.

Secondly, he's not really into the Sims community as far as I know, so he has no idea how Sims fans can be (though that's probably true for every fandom). He never said it'll be released soon. He just said he "knows what's the next DLC will be" and to me it sounded like he was just excited about it.

I also think it's highly likely he has some insider infos. He stopped playing Sims for years and now he's back with TS4, so I wouldn't be surprised if EA immediately tried to hook him up with stuff because they have to know that he has over 4 million subscribers.
