German youtuber hints at next DLC

Not that I don't trust Mr. Random German Youtuber, but I'll believe it when I see it. Honestly, I don't see what the point of his comment was since we already know a pack will be coming out later this year and he didn't give anything close to a hint, but whatever.

He's actually not some random guy, he has 4.8 million followers, way more than Deligracy, The Sim Supply and Lilsimsie together. He's got some great connections to the gaming industry because of his big influence.

The only thing that we might get from it is that the next DLC is something he would laugh about.
He stated that it would "fit so well" to his Let's Play, which consists of Sims that resemble other YouTubers living together, and then immediately started laughing about the thought that he would have this DLC right now, because it might be hilarious what he could do to those YouTubers.

I don't think owning cars, a farming experience or island vacation is that funny or would "fit so well".
That's why I think it's Witches. That's the only popular pack idea that would cause such a reaction IMO.

I'm not a big fan of combining witches and university, because both would end up being watered down. I'd like to see witches either get more of the Vampire treatment, with gaining powers and spalls based on skill level and choosing to go more toward the evil or the good ends of the spectrum (black/white/grey), or go all out with a modern reboot of Makin' Magic where all Sims can acquire magic powers. And University I'd like more emphasis on education and less on the party aspect.

I'm the rare person who doesn't know who any of these Youtubers are. The only one I ever watched for only a few seconds once or twice was the guy who quit. Now, I can't remember his name. So, no offense to any one of them, I wouldn't know her, either, I don't waste time on Let's Play videos, not my cup of tea.

I'm familiar with a few but only the English language ones -- my German is about 40 years old so I'd be totally lost. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them might be in the know about future content, if EA asks them to comment on potential features to gauge how the community would respond, or if they talk about what's on the drawing board during the various events they get to attend. But of course they can't discuss any of that because of their NDAs. I've worked in various tech companies and they're pretty tight when it comes to discussing upcoming content; one, they don't want any competitors to get wind of what they're working on and two, we're in a litigious society and if they mention a feature that doesn't come to fruition (maybe because of technical issues), someone's bound to file some sort of "broken agreement" lawsuit.

I do agree that it seems to be something that fits to his Let's Play (maybe especially to his Sim Pan because he mentioned the DLC when he wanted to talk about her future goals), but why witches? I don't watch his Sims Let's Play, so I don't know what direction he's taking with his play style, but without any background info it just seems like the desperate grasp at straws again and as if people really try the hardest to find non-existing hints for witches... Is he actually interested in playing occult Sims?

And I just want to make things clear for non-german Simmers here - He never said "what he could do to those Youtubers". He just said "It'll fit so well. It'll just fit so incredibly well. I'm a bit excited already."

People try to find non existing ''hints'' everywhere everytime.

Same goes for the recent patch which included some free ''beach/tropical'' content. It makes some people immediately jump to the conclusion that the next GP has to be a tropical one, because that..

Same for the hairstyle that got ''leaked''. People just want to see what they want to see. I have seen people saying: ''Oh this must be university!'' - ''Oh this must be tropical themed!'' - ''Oh this must be witches!'' .. but in fact.. it's just what it is; a fairly generic hairstyle that can fit within every pack.

Simmers like to speculate, which is totally fine, but sometimes people read too much into every single detail. They can barely release anything without people going crazy and hyping themselves up (with a result of getting angry when it's not going to be the next thing they release).

As for this youtuber: I don't know him, I don't really care. It can be anything, and the only thing we can do is.... you guessed it: wait. Wait until we find out.

Still hate the teasers are gone, because there could be at least a bit of factual speculation since we knew the themes in advance.. but yeah.. it is what it is.

As the old expression goes: "I'll believe it when I see it". In this case, I'll wait for something more official and from official sources.

Admittedly, I'm not familiar with the simmer who posted or made that video to really comment on them. However, having been a part of the Sims community going back to its release and in having seen this type of thing happen not just among simmers, but in many other fandoms, it's not that uncommon for someone to produce a webpage (sometimes complete with fake screenshots) or video speculating on what's to come, especially if they are themselves a fan and sometimes with the goal to either get attention or more hits/views (or if it's wishful thinking on the part of a fan). Again, I don't know them nor care to speculate on their motives or even if they're right.

That isn't to say that in the past, some fansites haven't been on the money with something that came to be added to a Sims game, but I've just seen this type of thing happen way too often to not take it with a grain of salt.

So, he brought up the next pack when talking about future goals? Sounds like University to me.

He talked about what he wants to do with his Sims, specifically the female one. And he said "She always wanted to learn how to cook because she likes to eat. That was always our excuse, but actually she wants to, uh, probably do something else. And... Oh! Oh, oh! I already know what the next DLC will be! I can't say it, unfortunately. I can't say it. I, uh, I think it's not known yet? Anyway, I heard about it and can't reveal it. And the next DLC, uh, it'll fit so well. It'll fit so incredibly well. I'm already a bit excited about it."

So it could be anything. Yes, it could be witches. Yes, it could be university. But as long as no one knows what he was thinking in this moment we just can't know. We can't even know if it was really related to the future goals or if he just suddenly remembered it because he started a new streaming session at the beginning of the video, so he could've just randomly shared some infos and thoughts.

He actually has a big following and great connections to the gaming industry, that's why he's believable, even if he isn't from the US. (He get's to play games waaaay earlier than most people and knows people from big game companies, including EA)
I don't think he's lying because he isn't known for lying to his community nor is his video centered around the statement he made, no clickbait (e.g. "I KNOW WHAT THE NEXT SIMS 4 DLC IS!!!1!1!")

Also he isn't a SimYouTuber, his channel isn't focused on TheSims, but a variety of different games.
