Have you started to disable/uninstall packs?

I have all EPs, GPs, SPs and a few kits, and this year I was getting to the point where I’d have to skip buying any more packs as my 6+-year-old Mac was starting to struggle with the game. None of my saves are particularly big (I only play one household in each) and most aren’t that old (maybe a couple of years on average). It was getting to the point where I’d hear the entire theme tune, plus the start of another one, before a household would load. I have no mods or cc, keep Neighborhood Stories mostly off, I’d lowered graphics settings, turned off eco footprint, deleted extra households, and tried anything else I could think of!

I ended up getting a new Mac this spring as it’s my work computer and the timing made sense more generally. The game now loads extremely quickly and runs beautifully. So for now I at least I can happily carry on adding more packs…
