Hi, I'm Penn! I've been playing The Sims since Thanksgiving 2000. I was 5 and a half, and my cousin, whose house we were at, had The Sims 1 but was bored of it, so she let me have it. I still have the disc and it still works!
My favorite world for TS4 is Ravenwood, and my favorite pack is the Paranormal one. (I'm very much into the paranormal IRL lol).
My play style has evolved a lot over the years. Until probably 2010 or 2011, I rushed through CAS and avoided BB as much as possible – my houses, if I did build them, were basically just big squares with a separate bedroom and bathroom. Very utilitarian! I've always loved the gameplay most, living out my Sims' lives. Even now I mostly just play characters I particularly like, or a self-Sim. I do actually enjoy CAS and BB now, though, and have gotten pretty okay at it (if I do say so myself lol). But the characters are always my favorite – which is why I really miss how easy it was to play premades in earlier games. In TS4, you're forced to create your own. Sometimes I just randomize one, then delete them as soon as I can get to Manage Worlds so I can play premades instead lol.

Gameplay is a great part of simming. It is enjoyable seeing how our sims are living out their lives in our game, and at the same time experiencing it with them as they visit the different worlds. Although you like gameplay the best, it is great that you are now enjoying cas and build/buy mode.
Premades are fun to see how their lives turn out in our game.
