HELP Constant kitchen fires

Oof!
The only other thing I can think of is that in both builds the cooking appliances are tucked in with their sides very close to walls/fences? What if you move that grill to a place on that patio with more space around it? Any change?

edit: Do you have any mods in your game?

In my game I'm experiencing this too. I'm having trouble with fireplace and the fireworks.

Without "mods", it happens. I use mods, but I do not use one to prevent this.
It seems to happen almost every time a "new" cook uses a stove or BBQ. By "new" I mean a first time.

My only advice is make sure to have the fire suppression system installed and the smoke detector (of course).
Eventually your Sims can upgrade the stove to be fire resistant or fireproof. All without cheats or mods.

The worsts one I had, I made a video. I didn't save the game. I just wanted to see what would happen if the fire wasn't put out.

Thank you people, I gave up and have started a completely new game. It got way too frustrating.

Chef's Kitchen lot trait. I've never had a fire while using it.

Personal reflection: I have found those BBQ's to be true fire hazards and always remove them from lots (or move them to the family inventory). The BBQ's found in community park never seems to catch fire, oddly enough...
