Just like people thought the stuffed bear in Dine Out hinted at toddlers and all the pet hints meant we would get pets or city themed shirt in Backyard stuff meant we were getting a city... All those failed to happen right? Seems as the speculation an rumor forum is not the place for you.

You'd have to be pretty naive to think that the next EP will be the last, when they've just launched the Sims 4 on console and advised they will be bringing the entirety of it over.

There is a difference between "hints" and "referencing outside the game".
I mean, would you really consider Pet hints that we got in Get To Work, hints, when we didn't get them until 3 years later?

The Sims has always referenced the real world, without providing the content to go alongside.

We had Billboards about tropical holidays in City Living, yet did we get a Tropical holiday? Nope.


I think people set themselves up to get hyped when they probably shouldn't. This was probably made by an art team, and thrown in early on.
I mean we have heaps of decorative items that don't reference the game at all.
