Holidays!

National Void Critter Day, sounds like a fun idea!
Think there's more threads like this over in the Expansion Pack category but I suppose it works here too.

I had not realised until recently that scheduled events weren't the same concept as scheduled holidays, so after work game nights should work really well. Personally I'm most excited for wedding planning.

I've pondered making Book Day as a holiday, I don't know if it's something that only happens where I live in Wales, but one day of the year kids dress up as their favourite book characters and celebrate authors. (I'd probably make some fictional famed authors/books in my new game.) I'd also have the adults from my book club celebrate it as well though, and any other bookworm Sims.

I mean, I haven't got any holidays set in stone yet as I'm waiting to see all of the traditions before me so I can really pin them down.

I'm in the US, so definitely halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas. I was thinking about mother's and fathers days. National pizza day, lol. I LOVE the remembrance day idea, I miss graveyards. I will probably do the solstices once we get a witches/magic pack.

I think I might have Llama Day, Plumbob Day, Grilled Cheese Day, Goth Day, Windenburg Day and Lazy Day.
Maybe I should include a Freezer Bunny Day and an Alien Invasion Day?

I'm a huge Dragon Ball fan so I'm thinking of adding a Piccolo Day holiday. :)

ST Patrick's Day and Halloween.

It depends on the save but I can't wait to name them and sometimes even rule the worlds with holidays. In my Stardew Valley save they already have holidays in that game so I'll be naming them the same and the god figure there is Yorba so I'll have fun figuring out a few more holidays for grins. In some saves I'll have Sim type holidays. In some I'll have Judeo-Christian standards because it's how I was brought up. I have some more deviant worlds and some sims may set themselves up as a god figure with the masses having holidays based on that sim and the worship of. It just sounds like fun over-all to me. I can't wait to see what we are capable of through this.
It just sounds like it can be either light fun and/or a great tool for stories and game-play.

Oh yes the regular holidays, Halloween, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas maybe all do other weird holidays but L stick to traditional when I get the pack.

I googled independence day, and all I got was movie posters, pictures of aliens, and the 15th of August, India. Must be the day they beat the aliens.
