- PsychoSimXX9 years agoNew SpectatorI have always had to cancel out the actions they are doing in order or my sims to extinguish the fire. Also if you have the alarm in the room and the sprinklers on the wall on the outside, the fire will get out out automatically.
- LaBlue03149 years agoSeasoned AceAlso put your game on pause when the fire breaks out. This will give you time to find the exact location that will allow your sim to extinguish the fire. Don't click on the fire itself, but a little lower on the item that is on fire.
- It was the outside barbecue. Once the parents stopped freaking out I was able to tell the dad to extinguish it
- do the sprinklers work outside??
@CursedDice I am so glad they were able to put it out, those fires can spread quickly. "feetinstockings;15564144" wrote:

I don't know, I've never used the sprinklers. Their outdoor furniture almost all burned
EDIT: Well, the barbecue and patio table did. Found it funny how an NPC (one of my own, but NPC in this save) was standing calmly at the front door waiting for them to answer when they were on the pavement freaking out because of a fire in the back yard. A few sims stopped but weren't interested- GalacticGal9 years agoLegendGosh, the Sims in my game came running with the fire extinguishers all on their own. Hm? How did I get so lucky?
As for the damage, you should get a pop-up notifying you that the insurance has paid X amount of Simoleons for the lost item(s). - LolaLuvsSims9 years agoSeasoned Ace

It wasn't, but the fire was put out- MaieMorrae9 years agoRising RookieI usually have this issue of I can't hit the paint of the fire that will let me put the fire out. God one time my sim set a fire in her apartment (cooking) well it is the TLC apartment with a bathtub. Well she caught on fire and I couldn't put her out cause no shower and I couldn't buy one cause cant go into build mode when there is a fire so no surprise she died. Well she was the only sim in that household and then grim shows up. For some reason he just stood there as the fire slowly spread through the whole apartment and never actually did his job. Eventually I just exited that save. For the record that sim lived a total of maybe 5 sim hours. :D

That must be a record. How do you kill a Sim that's only 5 sim hours old!? :D
