How do you get your family to join you in running a vet clinic?

did you use the 'hiring' option?

Can't you just call them to the lot by clicking on their portraits?

The hiring option didn't show them as choices. I will try calling them as you suggest Felicity. I didn't think of that.

This might sound like a silly question, but are you talking about family from the household or outside family (like relatives that live outside of the the current household)? I wasn't exactly sure, so I thought I'd ask.

Ahh gotcha. Okay. Yeah I agree with @Felicity . Current family members(in the household) are just able to work at the vet, so no need to 'hire' them. Thinking about it, it actually comes in handy since we can only hire up to 3 people outside of the household.

When you are at the vet clinic the other members of your household should be greyed out back at home. There should be a lightning bolt arrow on their picture though. If you click that there should be an option to 'bring (insert name) here'. This also works when going to any lot. I never form a group first.

I was wondering if there is a mod, that makes your sims think that the Retail, vet or restaurant is their home. So they will arrive at the vet clinic after school / work. Instead of having to micro manage with sending them there after work.

Yeah, I know that you get notified, but as I said. It feels like too much micromanaging, say you have a household of 4 sims. All of them working and school at different times. So instead of pausing the game 4 times a day to click on that little lighting and send them to the buisness-lot, a mod would have been amazing.
