I'm just curious of how others sort their CC into folders, and why :) Do you sort by general content (like a CAS content, build-mode content, script mods), more specific categories (hair, shirts/shoes, furniture, etc), sort by the CC creator, or by date? ... Or just go chaotic evil and throw it all in the main mod folder lol!Personally, I started sorting by specific content back when TS4 first came out (and I wish I still did because there's a lot I wish I could find and remove now, lol). But the last couple years I've been sorting by download-date, so when something breaks in-game or my game won't even launch, I know exactly when to trace it back to.... With the exception of script mods. They break/need to be updated randomly, so they get their own folder lol!

The majority are just small gameplay tweaks. For other CC, the most I have is hairstyles, beards, body hair, eyelashes, default eyes, a few skin overlays, etc. I have a variety of poses, but only put them in the Mods folder when I want to use them. I don't have any clothing or objects CC at all.EDIT: Opps, I do have exactly one CC object, a hospital bed. But it's not in the Mods folder now. I only needed it for a few screenshot poses in a story. Oh, well I guess the Knight teleporter thing is considered an object eh? So I have that.

I organized mine like this: All gameplay mods go directly into the mods folderCC goes into subfolders inside the mods folder. I don't use much cc, so I can use very broad categories: Poses Accessoires Buildmode Foods Objects Hairs Clothing Body parts Animals Weapons Android stuffAdditionally I create extra folders for cc and mods that I'm not sure if I want to keep them longterm or that I only need for specific stories.

Mine used to be a mess I have watched the Oshinsims and RosannaTxt they both had a great video on organizing mods/cc. I have mine organized by creator that way I can easily look up any updates/upgrades. My folder was previously a mess, duplicate stuff oh my.

I sort CC/mods into folders by type (build, CAS, clothes, food, furniture, hair, poses...) and then sometimes subdivide those categories by creator. I keep it pretty simple, which works for me, even though I have 20 GB of stuff.

If I dont sort it by type Im going to go insane finding if it goes awry in my game. Im pretty typical I suppose when it comes to sorting cc. Alot of times its put into specialized sub groups. Female wedding dresses, men's underwear, women's shoes, women's lingerie, men's tops etc etc. If there are creators I like, they will usually get their own folders.

Script mods are organized as well according to creator, and I also keep a spreadsheet of all mods currently in use. Helps me keep track of them all and it comes in handy during update time.

I sort mine by creator, and then separate them into sets if they're part of a specific set by that creator. Makes it easier to locate files if I need to remove or replace them. If I accidentally re-download something I already have in game, I'll let it overwrite the previous version in case there was an update or fix to it after the last download. I don't have a lot of script mods, so I don't worry about those as much.

How I keep mods folder has changed over the years. This year I cleaned out 90% of my mods folder. I don't use very much CC these days beyond defaults. I need mods to be organized so I can easily update them.

holy hell, you LEGIT sort, spreadsheet and all! I envy your system, lol!! I feel like I could have solved a million problems earlier if I had that much structure in my mods folder lol! How long have you been spread-sheeting your mods like that? :O

20G holy hell haha! I thought I was bad with 10.5! I feel like sorting by type is honestly the best system tho... even though I don't anymore :'(
