How long we can stay offline?

Because you're connected to Internet but your EA app is in offline mode, it'll work but not when your pc not connected to Internet..

I used to open Sims when I was connected, then go to places that didn't have internet for the day and play there. As long as I was connected at startup, I could play all day. When did it change?

Yeah sure if you connected before launching the game it'll work, but alot of people have internet problems and now in latest EA app update you need a constant Internet connection to play..

I mean in origin once you launch the game online once its enough and the game credentials check its valid and you let you play offline as much as you want

In EA app you could play only offline for a while only

Now you can't play offline at all..

Is there any way to lauch the game offline first? I've been avoiding updates since infants because I'm not ready to say goodbye to certain mods that don't get updated anymore yet. I'd like to continue to play my modded save until I've finished my goals before I start updating again.

Try starting the game after that error pops up and you will understand the problem. No internet. No game.
