Oh, I ran into this initially. I built my own small apartment complex. That one was okay. But in following the steps from the video, I built the complex, anew. But it didn't work out. So, I had to abandon the newer version of it (which in some ways I liked better) but there was no way, seemingly to change the designation. I even tried to return it to residential and then back again. Instead, since I had saved my original work, I replaced it with the older version. Then I did the steps I listed and voila. They do make this harder than it needs to be. Face/palm.
Can you do a rollback, or save recovery? You need to first select a tenant, then the owners return to their home. And from there you should be able to pull up the information under the business tab in the lower right corner. Either that or place another apartment building into a new lot and start all over again.
