How many items were broken? All of them, the majority or half and half? How did you fix them? I usually have a spellcaster fix them with magic but I don't know if it is possible to fix them if you don't play the career that comes with the pack.
My most recent sim is doing the fishing aspiration and I was wondering what random items we can get that way. She has 8 cowplant berries but the most useful catch was a get seed from crystal creations. Very useful for a rags to riches.
I'd say the majority were broken, I just used money to click "replace" to fix them and used a money cheat to have enough money to fix everything.
Fishing is a fun challenge too! I know you can get that super expensive violin from the pond in the park in Oasis Springs, that's the most expensive item I know you can find fishing.
if you play the 'broken' items into your household inventory in build mode you can sell them from there for the money they are worth without replacing them :)
You can fix them without playing the career by getting the repair object out of debug. You can place it on a sales table and then from there you can add it to your inventory and use it without playing the career.
