I don't get this message...

I had my sim whom lives in an apartment read the message on the hallway message board and this is what it says, "While the grass may look greener beyond your neighbor's fence, don't forget that your grass may look greener to them."

What does this even mean?

    It means that your neighbor might appreciate your grass more than you do.

    huh okay. LOL I mean I guessed it was some sort of reference to the grass being greener on the other side but this sentence didn't make much sense to me.
