I Had a Bit of An Apostrophe (Epiphany)

Loved the fact that in Hook, the Captain said the word apostrophe when he really meant epiphany. Last evening as I was enjoying the shrimp fajitas for dinner, it occurred to me: What if the game requires a Teen to go to school for so many days before they age up? And if a Sim ages up too soon, they are considered a Drop Out?

Anybody in the Know, please sing out. Have I stumbled upon the real secret behind the fuss?

I am quite willing to test my theory. Currently I froze the aging on my Sims, since it's still summer in my game and my kids won't return to school until the first Tuesday in Fall. But, I will age Erik back down to zero days in Teen, and Joey to last day in Child and we'll just see if upon aging up Erik ends up a Drop Out.

Anyone else willing to test this theory?

My teen sim recently aged to young adult, so I aged up his girlfriend via the cake. No idea how many days she had until her true age-up.
She graduated as an average student.

Well, that certainly disproves my theory. In that case, I'll just keep Erik at two days into his Teens. I play on Long. If he doesn't actually graduate, after all I have done to rid my game of any bugs via repair game and starting a new save altogether, then I throw up my hands. Thank you for weighing in. :)

I am trying to understand how this works as well. Have no information to offer since I am still in the Werewolf-patch but I find it interesting to read about.

Hope you will get some insight into this.
