I thought my rat was a really ugly hamster

An animal so ugly you don't know what it is but you love it anyway.

I had two rats in the past and they were the cutest thing, never bit me or did anything considered rude, I've had hamsters too and most of them started off biting me and destroying my beloved carpets. Love both animals but I'm tired of people judging domesticated rats, they are adorable, they are intelligent, and they are not the same as the ones you find in the sewers, trust me. They're so hygenic too, one of my rats constantly cleaned himself.

Awww my sim has a rat... and they are proud of it! Rats are beautiful too!

So agree with you - especially about the intelligence and hygiene parts. My friend's rat could clean out its own cage if you just put everything it needed for it down below. It was adorable. And it would watch TV with us and just generally be extremely smart and cute. I've personally never met a hamster quite as smart. I loved my mouse, Snooze, but it wasn't nearly as smart either. But it was adorable :)

Rats are cute irl, but the sims rats are not nearly as cute as the sim hamsters. The sims rats have weird, creepy little feet, and their coloring is kind of blah compared to the hamsters. But real rats are adorable and smart, I agree.

Just hope that he doesn't turn out to have been a dark wizard who'd faked his own death.

Be careful coming into contact with rats (real life rats, not sim rats) as they carry Weil's disease. One of my Uncle's caught it and was in hospital for months.
