Interesting, I Had No Idea
I'm busy setting up my ancestral save anew. I even recreated my Hawkins family from scratch. I pulled the Seviers and the Hawkins families from My Library, after I had saved them there, again. Then I added each family to the game. Silly me, I forgot that my Sims had no skills. But, thanks to MCCC, I gave the parents, the Teens, and Child Sims a small boost. (Set them where I thought they ought to be at this time in their lives.)
What I totally forgot about, however, is that we now need to set them for their gender/sexual preferences. I didn't do that. I couldn't figure out just why John, the eldest Teen in the Sevier family was uncomfortable. To the point he couldn't do his homework, nor work on his father's crops. The Welcome Wagon came by and since his aspiration is Friend of the World, I decided to have him greet/introduce himself. He needs ten to fulfil one portion of this page one aspiration.
I even cheated up his needs. But, he was still miserable. I think when he rolled a Want, something in me was alerted. I took the Sevier's back into cas.fulleditmode and quickly set their preferences. The minute I placed them back into the game John is HAPPY. How odd is that?
Has this happened to anyone else? Where your Sim is uncomfortable until you change or set their preferences? It's almost like he was telling me. The game set him automatically to experimenting with both genders. I made it only females. History has never recorded it should be otherwise for him. Just sayin'.
I am simply gobsmacked at this and thought I would share.
