I've tried searching for answers and it seems like maybe the corrupted saves are fixed now? But I've seen a lot of maintance bugs with tennants. I just worry loosing my save and would appreciate is anyone knows or have a fix :)
hank everyone for your replies :) It looks like I'll stay away from the world while playing my save, maybe make a new save if I want to try out the features and see how it goes
You can always disable the gameplay features in For Rent and start a new save and new household. I avoid downloading lots in the gallery that have For Rent and I do not have any rental units in game connected to For Rent. It's all imagination until I can trust the EP.
There are still some animations you can play with connected to the EP and I love the buy/build features in the For Rent EP.
Not all is lost but I hope I can play the EP in it's entirety some day. 🙂
I bought For Rent in the sale, wishing I'd gone for either Love Struck or Life and Death. I put my sim into a rented apparently, she got some cursed book and then she was stuck, I tried resetting her and she was still stuck. I haven't been on since, fear my game maybe corrupted 😭
I don't play the gameplay that comes with For Rent even though I own it. I just pretend my apartments are being rented which is very sad. It's like buying a dress you will never wear.
Thank you for letting me know, I did not know of this bug and I'll make sure I use the box storage if I do play in the world :)
I own For Rent and haven't had many bugs and no corrupted saves (knocks on wood) but there is bug last time I was playing a Sim in a rented apartment and that is that when going into another household and entering build mode through the map (of said rented property) everything in fridges, toyboxes and bookcases empties out completely. I have to use the cardboard box storage to put everything in that I don't want to loose (food, drinks, toys and books) whenever I want to change household or want to change something in buildmode from the map (the buildmode through the household itself when playing in it is safe though. Maybe it has been fixed but I really don't think so.
Thank you for letting me know :) I had my game corrupt twice after For Rent came out, where I could not load into the building my sims lived in. But I really have been wanting to play with the features for rent has :)
I've had For Rent since the release and have not experienced many issues with it. The bugs I had were that the rental events counted as failed even when I took care of the problem (not sure if it's fixed now, I remember there was a report). I also have a weird bug that I should report: the picture of the basement floor doesn't load on the map screen and thus I can't enter the apartment there. Didn't have any corrupted saves.
