In my current save I place one sim in the business career and I didn't let her advance pass level 5 or 6. Her husband is a programmer. While the business sim was on maternity leave she became interested in gardening and floral arranging. Both sims quit their jobs once they had over 100k in the bank. They have three children, a pretty big house, keep the thermostat on, and haven't sold any harvestables in weeks they still have about 75k in the bank. I even got a maid just to waste some funds.
