is there a way to stop sims from automatically switching to a song they produce when it comes on.

Question

so right now its like every 2-3 min a song my sims produce comes on the raidio and they have to switch to that song i would not mind too much except it takes up an action to listen and even worse once the song is over the radio turns off. its honestly kind of annoying and i want to know if there is a way to stop it.
