Congrats on the twins. Twins can be a handful.
If one of your sims living in the household has the Child of the Island trait, it might be worth using a retraiting potion to swap out the Child of the Islands trait. Your twins and the elemental will autonomously pass judgement whenever one of them isn't doing something. This goes for any sim with the Child of the Island trait. This will not interrupt tasks you give your sims.
I low key feel bad for the mermaid featured in the Island Living trailer. Dylan and Zeph will find her on the active lot without fail to deny her connection to the Islands.
If you don't intend to engage in Island Activities, it might get overwhelming.
