- How about Bacon? Grey? Johnston? Burke? I’ve had all of these last names in my save!

Cash. Gimme Cash, Holden Cash, Needen Cash.
Parts. Sandy Parts.
Fruitti. Mango and Hella Fruitti.
Lolly-Goth. Humbug Lolly-Goth.
I like a bit of silliness in my game. - Suziish7 years agoSeasoned AceI usually randomize until a name sounds good with the first name I picked.
Little tip, though. Pick wisely. Especially if you plan to play with that last name long term. I'm on Generation 9 of Schmitt's and wishing I had picked a better last name than that. :D :D :D "ChelleJo;c-16777173" wrote:

Ah yes, the legacy last name. This is truly one of the hardest things for some simmers. I take my time with those because it’ll suck for a long time. The names I chose before though, and never completed were:
Vale, Castillo, Kyles, and Hawkins - Netzspannung7 years agoSeasoned AceA lot of times I will have some kind of background story for my sim, which includes their ethnicity. In some of those cases I like to search online for fitting last names, not only taking into account where the name originates from but also its meaning. One of my recent searches led me to a last name of Swahili origins, for example, because it went well with the background story and means "fearless".
- Aguilera, Xerox, and dames sound nice
- Movotti7 years agoNew SpectatorI also have a save in which there are families named Riverdale, Ravenwood, Clifton... I think I need to add a Sunnydale, and Shadyvale families to that save.
- I don't know how to put it exactly, but I name last names often after groups of things. For example, I'll use Blaze or Flame and then theme my first names alphabetically to coinside with the last name so I'd have Ember Flame, or in my current one its Hues and my founder's name is Wynter Hues and her children are: Scarlet Hues and Sky Hues. Then I'll make the color their name stands for their favorite color. Scarlet wears a lot of red tints and Sky wears a lot of sky colors. (shades of blue)
Unlike an alphabecy I go reverse alphabet most of the time so I start with Z or towards the end of the alphabet and work my way forward. But skip a lot of letters. Not sure why. - Okay, so my method is a little unconventional compared to everyone else's. I like to pick their surnames based on the first thing that pops into my head. From this I tend to get a lot of word names like Melon, Pepper, & Royal, though I have had some more normal options like Carmichael, Arden, & Wolfe.
