Lin-Z object warning! *Update your game

Do we have any official word from the team yet that they recognize that this is an issue? Because it's a pretty devastating one. I know they are going dark but an item that literally makes the game unplayable needs an emergency patch stat. The majority of sims players aren't the kind that hang out in these forums or other sims places online. They just install the game and play.

I'm really bummed I haven't been able to play all week and I was excited to use this item.
