Gideon headed back to the park, and spoke with one of the first sims he saw there, and Emit said he heard the Envoy saying 'they'll finally buy that fancy house they wanted' Gideon also learned that the Envoy went off toward the Blue Velvet.
With this information in hand, Gideon felt like he should give the Royal Envoy a call. She want she has to say.
He pulled out his phone and called the Envoy, and he wasn't getting an answer, however he did hear a ringing sound. He looked around the park, the ringing was close.
It sounded like it was coming from the trashcan near the grills, so he walked over. and yes, it seems like something was in the trashcan.
With no hesitation, Gideon started rummaging though the can, and found a phone. This must be the Envoy's phone!
So, why did the Envoy ditch her phone? Gideon took a look in her phone, and saw a file named, "My Retirement Master Plan" However, it needed a password; looks like Gideon had some hacking in his future. But a Master Plan for retirement, talk about a fancy house, it seems like the Envoy was trying to enrich themself somehow.
It was growing late, and Gideon was quite tired, so he headed back home to get some sleep.
After a nights rest, and a shower, Gideon was ready to hack into the file on the phone; however as he was getting started, he remembered that code on the bottom of Cordelia's Statue. Surely it wasn't going to be that easy, the Envoy's password can't be that! Gideon thought as he punched the code into the password box.
And... that was it. That was the password for the file. Gideon was slightly disappointed; he couldn't believe that the Envoy had such terrible cybersecurity.
Gideon read the file, and couldn't believe it. It held the Envoy's plan in detail! The Envoy was going to steal the treasure for themselves the entire time! She then was going to sell it off and make a massive profit!
That explains why the Envoy acted so shady! Gideon knew he had to find the Envoy immediately. He couldn't just let this go.
After he finished with the phone, Gideon headed off to speak with his sister, Beth,
and told everything he just found out, and what the Envoy was up too. Beth, knowing Gideon well, knew that Gideon was going to surprise the Envoy no matter what, so she told him to be careful.
And early in the morning, a couple of hours before school, Gideon was at the Blue Velvet talking to the bartender, Vincent, Gideon asked about the Envoy, and Vincent told him that he should look near the lake, the Envoy mentioned they would be taking a one way ferry trip.
Gideon hopped on his bike and rode down to the lake shore.
Where apparently the Envoy was just spending some time fishing. She looks like she's having a good time. I'm sure she'll be happy to see Gideon!
Gideon found the Envoy and surprised her, and the Envoy was surprised to see him, "Wh-What are you doing here? Listen this isn't what it looks like-"
"I saw your phone, I read your whole master plan," Gideon told her.
"Oh, you read that...Well, can you blame me?! I'm stretched so thin between these families! What about my happiness? I just wanted a nice hot tub when I'm done with this job, so look, report me if you want, but this could cause a great upset in the kingdom, I won't ever be able to show my face again! If you forgive me, I'll stop and walk away. The simoleons I would get from these treasures wouldn’t make up for me losing my job and reputation anyway.”"
Gideon eyed the Envoy, Marina Corsair, and shook his head. "Nope, I can't just let it slid, no way."
After all, Gideon is a Good sim, and he has a dream of being in the Secret Agent career when he becomes an young adult, the Envoy wanted to steal these things and sell them, that just wasn't right.
As Gideon recounts all the deceit the Envoy pulled, and told her he was going report her, Marina told him that she would remember this and that she would have her revenge oneday.
Then Marina Corsair left.
Good riddance Marina! I liked Gideon hopping onto his bike, time was of the essence!
