I like the idea of using a generic lot as a supplemental space for a sim, especially if it is an adjacent lot. Makes me think of the space behind my grandparent's old house with a hobby/storage shack and even went back to the river. Could make it into a Chinese Garden with boardwalk, ponds, and spaces for skill building.
