Loyal trait

@SERVERFRA You're very lucky. The random/obsessive cheating has been a long standing problem in my game. It started back when I was playing the vanilla game, and is actually what drove me to start using mods to begin with.

I never used mods in Sims 2 or Sims 3, but I have found them to be an absolute necessity in Sims 4 because of the way autonomy (and other things) got coded in this game.

My story would have been destroyed years ago if I hadn't started using mods to stop the madness.

I'm happy to hear your experience with the vanilla game has been different than mine was, and I hope that continues to be the case.

For any others who are still struggling to find a way to stop the cheating that's so strongly pushed and enforced in this game (for whatever reason), Chingyu's Friendzone mod is also fantastic and works beautifully. It's been a game saver for me.

Whether or not you are actually using the Loyal trait on any of your sims!

HQ user lazarusinashes yesterday identified the source of the new bug, introduced in this patch, where sims do mean interactions autonomously for no reason.
There is a mistake in the coding of the Loyal trait that affects most mean interactions.

So thats what was happening, I had this same thing happen. Also, I gave my sim the loyal trait and she still proceeded to flirt with someone else right in front of her boyfriend who she even exchanged promise rings with. I was honestly shocked because ironically she never flirted autonomously before I gave her the loyal trait. Im just in shock at how poorly programmed this game is to be honest......so no, this trait doesn't work at all. All it does is give them random moodlets.

Anyone who got the new trait - is is sorting as Emotional, Lifestyle or Social?

I'm not seeing mean interactions at all. Yesterday I had two sims travel to a community lot. Before they left everything was perfect between them, all flirty and happy moodlets. As soon as they spawned on the other lot, they had angry moodlets from being hurt by a loved one. Those moodlets were buried, but I could see the tiny sliver of red. I clicked the moodlet and there it was, angry at a loved one. Neither one has the loyal trait, but I use a faithfulness mod that accomplishes the same thing. Whatever was changed went beyond just that trait.
