i cant buy them, i cant find them, and i have been travelling around the lots to see if i can find some to harvest but nothing!

Those ingredients are at the science lab, I think. Check & there should be some to harvest.
I actually had to make someone in my household a gardener so my scientist would have necessary materials. I cheated though & used Debug, to pull out all the plant types I needed to plant. I now have a garden with high quality products for everything my scientist needs.
