- I'm grateful for free stuff.
So far most of it was nice and welcome in my game.
I'm well aware of all the things that need to be fixed or improved, but with the anniversary occasion I see it as presents, little treats for everyone.
I would feel rude to complain about sweets I'm given for free at a birthday party :D "Writin_Reg;c-17219375" wrote:

I have such a hard time with this forum....so much absolute negativity. I don't get it. So many people obviously don't like this game and don't enjoy it and they come on here and dump on it but.....it just doesn't make sense. I can see being disappointed about a couple things once in a while but to complain about EVERYTHING that's being done for this game? Time to find another game. Free content is coming and nearly everyone is complaining....like little children not getting what they want. Wow.
So agree. I was always taught to thank people for gifts - I still live by that rule. The fact someone made us a gift regardless of what it is I believe should be thanked. There is no rule they owed us anything and I will be happy and grateful for the new content.
I agree some what but when your a kid on Christmas and you get socks it doesn't make you happy even though you might have needed them
I do think you should say thank you but still its disappointing we are getting the sims 4 equivalent to socks and I don't feel we really needed them we have lots of nice socks already @Writin_Reg"comicsforlife;c-17219437" wrote:

I don't think that's a valid equivalent here. I'm thinking about this more like: you have a favorite store you shop at and the store has an anniversary. So when you're in there, they hand you over some sweets, maybe a store logo T-shirt, maybe something fitting the store contents that they made specifically as gifts to their customers. Would you turn around and tell them "well, but why didn't you fix the wheels on the shopping trolleys instead? or why didn't you add extra massage chairs for customers to use while here?". I'm sure some people would but to me that's plain rude and entitled.
And whether we do or don't have enough "stuff" is subjective anyway. People who enjoy CAS are getting something, people who enjoy building are getting something, for all we know some of those build items will have gameplay. I wish people at least waited to see what it is that's coming in the patch before deciding they hate it."Sk8rblaze;c-17218721" wrote:
Yeah, I don’t see what’s to complain about free stuff. Sure, it’s not as exciting as the larger features TS4 needs for depth (such as the repoman, firefighters, criminals and police officers, etc.), but the fact we are still getting content for free sure is nice.
Until every townie decides to mix it and match it and use it for outerwear, and or use it with some tights and sandals for a work outfit. Just sayin'. :D- Maybe I'm stretching my hopes a bit too high. Since we had the Tragic Clown last time, maybe they could introduce firemen, burglars, and cops (hopefully if you are in the law career branch, you can arrest burglars at home like TS3).

why wouldn't I be excited to get socks on christmas though? socks are awesome and useful and even better if woolly with a pretty pattern on them
I much prefer them to any other christmas presents that are often useless trendy stuff that people throw to landfill next year
same with sims
I only want things that are useful
and ain't excited if its not useful
and will ignore it exists
though i do feel with some stuff i would have liked to decline (like the moschino hoodie) since i know I am never going to use it for a thing and it feels like clutter file to me
so would be nice to have option to update minus the new objects if one should feel so- Sigzy_29New Spectator

Oh joy more "stuff" how about a trait overhaul, cars, L-shaped stairs, freed babies but no we get CAS I'm sure mostly for adult female & Build-Buy more empty content.
That's what hurts the most for me. They never include unique clothes and hairs for toddlers and kids anymore. And the males always get the short end of the stick. I wish they'd include at least one new beard on these items but I know they won't.
It's been a long time since we got new interesting assets for both CAS and buy mode, they just aren't even trying. I miss having L shaped couches and modular ones with round corners, I miss the different stair types etc. And they could do corner fireplaces, add body hair, nail polish, basic things you would expect a lifesim to have ahaha But at this point it's just a repeat of everything. Even paid packs don't come with these things, it just gets frustrating after a while.
I understand that free stuff is always good, but is it so terrible to add one or two things the fans have been asking? Things the game actually misses? I'd rather have one completely new asset over a bunch of recolors and re-skins, but that's just me I guess.
Since 2014 that we've only had one wedding dress....how about adding some more with these updates instead of some random hipster tumblr clothing? Look at how little underwear sims have...males don't even have briefs and only two pairs of boxers with not even a lot of recolors.....they could add more here, but will they? It's just frustrating. - @Sigzy05 This game shockingly lacks facial hair. I don't get it... I also don't understand why we still don't have body hair. :(

okay lets use your example say someone you know said thank you for the candy and you walk off together and they say its nice but I kind of wish they would fix the wheels on the cart instead of buying candy and you tell your friend they were entitled for saying so thats not very nice- Karamazov123Seasoned HotshotWe're getting a Maxis Monthly for the content at least, right? I don't know about the quality of the stuff we're getting, but at least we're probably getting a lot of stuff.
Unless the Monthly is really short, or they only spend 3 minutes on the new stuff and spend the rest of the time goofing around.
