Mermaids confirmed for Island Living!!!

I’m FREAKING OUT sooo much from the leaked announcement and especially seeing that pic. Please, let sims transform into playable mermaids (lifestate), please, please. ??‍♀️ ❤️❤️❤️☀️☀️☀️?

NPC's don't have plumbobs.

The chef from Dine Out had a plumbob, but he was an NPC. But it’s true, they are.

Eventually, that plumbob was removed when it was discovered that chefs are not playable.

They literally have a plumbob on the render.Its to make it clear the mermaid was playable.So what makes you so sure that the mermaid is not playable ?

Yes, I really doubt they remove it here.They wouldn't add it in the first place.Unless they were sure mermaids were playable.I don't remember the chef renders having plumbobs.

I didn’t say anything about chefs, I was talking about our Sims being hosts and then they changed it so we couldn’t. So your logic doesn’t make sense...

It was in the trailer they showed the host with a plumbob, when everyone commented on it they took the video down and reuploaded it with changes. So if they’ve changed things before they can do it again.

Honestly, I am freaking out if Mermaids are just NPCs and NOT playable!

As someone pointed out, that regular plumbob is worrying me a bit, occults usually have different plumbobs. I hope that's just for the sake of the picture. Or maybe they're completely regular sims on the land and only turn to mersims and have powers when in water. Or they're just NPCs. In any event, I'm glad mermaids made it in the game before the witches.

Oh, now that would just suck! If they want to give us NPCs, then give us police, burglars and firefighters please. I'm desperate for some new occults to play/create. I really need my vampire and mermaid family.

That plumbob is photoshoped within the render. It's not actual game footage.

Although it doesn't bother me if mermaids are playable or not, I am still hoping that they are for those who want to play them. Mermaids have been highly requested for a while now. This is a really good opportunity for EA and the Sims team to make the occult simmers really happy.

Mermaids are available in CAS, and they seem to have a lot of customization objects. Niiiiiiice.
