- When a groom laughed himself to death on the wedding night. ? I mean, can you imagine being the surviving spouse? People have died on their wedding night, but not from laughter when they saw Wee Willy Winkie ?
- This dress...enough said :D
(But...my character Art that I made here can absolutely pull it off! And look stunning! I love them  )
https://i.imgur.com/mY56Ypw.png - OldeSimsFanNew TravelerTaking the franchise approach:
TS2 - it ended too soon. :( I love that game to this day, there is so much that a creative player can do with it.
TS3 - the loss of the household centered albums for storytelling, all the sims look alike (and walking corpses at that) no matter how you tweak them, that you are limited to one household per game save (my experience at least)
TS4 - the worlds are almost all set dressing that you can't even get to, let alone work with. Too few workable lots per world. The continued loss of a household centered album (have fortunately worked out a satisfactory alternative.), No ability in CAS to right click on faces to customize them and the loss of sliders - the push & pull goes only so far. The absence of TS2 level attention to detail, particularly in things for sims to do and the sims themselves. Gardening is utterly broken, even when we now have a major pack that leans heavily on it working properly. Over nerfing of gameplay features, whether vampires or how sims get unhappy because they don't live in palaces. There are such things as switches, and have been before TS1 came out. The Battu pack - thank you, fellow simmers for the warning that spared me from getting it. Cats & Dogs appear only in the Bay, and then mostly if you live there. My First Pet Pack. The failure to provide us with the tools to make our own locations to explore in Jungle Adventures, I can think of almost a dozen more to add. The since release broken townie/random/situational outfit generator. The wholesale clipping issues, many of them major. Probably more, but enough for now. It is clear that testing/quality control is not a high priority with EA.
It's a pity there are so many issues as there is so much to really like about TS4, so many things that are 'yeah! right on!'. It is a game with huge potential needlessly weighed down by glitches and missed opportunities. - AstroX1424Seasoned NewcomerThe base game features that were missing for many, many, many years...
Everyone knows about toddlers and pools, but did you know ghosts weren't in the game till a patch a few years later? Here's a list of some of the many things that didn't get put in till quite a few years after launch.
-Service workers
-Configurable Stairs
-Basements
-Moveobjects cheat
-Geneology
-Door locking
-Dish washers
-Bunk beds - Buying Sims 4
- GalacticGalSeasoned AceThe dysfunctional Sims3. I had to load it up with Twallen's mods, about twenty+ of them just to stabilize the game. I play on a gaming rig, mind you. While I liked what they tried to do, they're going to have to build a better engine, so to speak.
- Hauk120Rising RookieBack in 2014 when the game was released, the base game was so bad honestly
When I discovered mods, they were a lifesaver to have fun in the game
When I started doing something interesting with the game, like making designs of my story on it
Those mods like height slider and unlock hidden objects, they are very good
Probably unpopular opinion, the star wars dlc, I'm not interested on its gameplay, but I love the steampunk objects and outfits it has, they're perfect for my fantasy and steampunk designs
When I decided to not play it anymore, just build houses and create sims and stories with it, lol - Ok there have been times I wasn't active in the community at all and only joined around the time cats and dogs was releasing so some moments I missed.
- Worst have been this latest pack and the Russia situation.
- When there was a pedophile that was a game changer and the whole situation caused us to switch community managers and idk some gurus changed how active they were in the community.
- Eco Lifestyle, ppl were expecting farming and yeah...
- My first pet stuff - SheriSimSeasoned HotshotYeah, sure wish they would fix plants reverting to dirt. With the simple living challenge I now have even more sims growing plants.
- I saw someone mention the Eco Living bug-fest that was introduced. My longest running save with my favorite sims was going along nicely. I had tamed the NAPs and was doing well. My sim Kerrigan actually won the lottery! I moved her into a mansion and was set to explore the life of a rich sim - and she developed the white cake obsession. She couldn't even sleep without getting up and heading to the kitchen and baking white cakes.
