My Grams died :( Where is her Urn/Tombstone and What happened to her pets?

I'm not sure about the pets, but I would check to see if they come up for an adoption option. Other than that, I really don't know, but I totally agree with you, I wish they would at least do what they did in Sims 3 about the notification.

{Update} I found a possible solution.

1. Turn on Testing Cheats true.
2. Enter cheat Sims.get_sim-id_by firstname lastname
3. Then enter Sims.Summon_Sim_to_zone
4. Shift click to add to current family
5. Turn on hidden objects with code bb.showhiddenobjects
*Use this cheat to show and buy the urn
6. Create a graveyard and place the urn inside an active Sims inventory
7. Have active Sim visit the graveyard and then have the ghost Sim possess the new urn/tombstone

** I haven't checked to see if it works yet in game, but I will, and i'll let you all know. **

if you play with mods you can get notifications for sims almost dying.

@ambrown - I can't play my game without mods! LOl. Do you happen to know which one it is off hand? I'm currently playing without most of my mods as Seasons broke them! :( I know MC Command Center is supposed to help, but I can't figure out how to use it. I installed it and put it into my game, but when I click on the option, nothing comes up. I'm not sure if its conflicting or I just don't know what I'm doing (this was before Seasons, I've since uninstalled all the script Mods that were listed a problematic or which more than likely would be and am waiting on updates) Thanks for your suggestion! :)

{UPDATE} I've come back to update everyone on what happened with my plan from the other night.

So- I looked into re-adopting the cats, but they weren't there. They are simply no where to be found. I fear they've been deleted in game and no longer exist :(

I entered the cheats as instructed and they both worked. However. Grams appeared for about 5 seconds and I wasn't able to interact with her. I clicked on her and nothing happened. I shift-clicked to add her to my family and nothing happened.. so she floated away and since then I have tried 10+ times to re-summon her and it never works.

I'm going to try again in the Spring. (Its Winter atm in game- I suspect maybe her ghost was cold? Can ghosts get cold? LOL) I'm gonna go with that, and hope for the best.

So- I actually saw Grams ghost floating around the neighborhood and had my Sim run over there and talk to her real quick. Then I "shift-clicked" and added her to my family. But when I tried to Possess an urn I bought after unlocking hidden objects, she just "possesses" it temporarily, and this doesn't remove the ghost from the family! D: I don't think this "possess" option was made with the intention of laying Sims to rest.. it was made as a feature so we could act like a ghost (sigh)

So- then I found a cheat to make Grams alive again- (traits.remove_trait oldage) << and it worked great! Grams is alive again.. (she's 150 years old.. but hey!) So now I would like to have her die of old age- and looks like I'm going to have to wait until she gets there on her own. I tried using the cheats. Sims.add_buff_death_elderexhaustion_warning << But nothing happens.

** I might not be doing it right, as there was another cheat listed as well. Sims.add_buff and then under it was the one above, so I'm not sure I'm doing it right.. but plum, this is frustrating!

Tbh- it wasn't until Seasons that I actually even played long enough for one of my Sims to die of old age! (yep really!) and so I never knew this was a problem- I'm assuming the Gurus don't either. I really feel like this should be addressed in the future.

Anyone else ? Or am I just the only weirdo who has extended family living in their own houses? And the only weirdo who wants Gramps and Grams together in their plot in the ground in a graveyard? Is this odd? Am I in the minority here ?

what do you mean MC Command Center isn't working? After you got seasons did you delete all the mods and download the new one they put out? I did that and it's been working just fine. I'm not 100% sure if that mod is part of MCCC but i know it exists, i don't have it though. What kind of help with MCCC do you need? it's mainly just clicking on it and peeking around at what you could do- it's really cool. You access the main part of it through a sims computer.

So glad I found this thread. I know it's a little old, but nothing else has helped me, not even over at ea help (that thread you got those instructions off, I did them too and got the very same result. I'm not sure I want to make the parents alive again, I just want their urn to put in a graveyard as they are the founders.

I am wondering did you find another way of successfully getting their urns? or did grams eventually die of old age again? Maybe I'd be willing to do that, how long until they pass away again and did they get another urn?
