My Sim died laughing - really
I had never known a Sim to die laughing before - everyone pleaded but it did no good. Way before her time.

Stack up a bunch of Playful and Happy buffs. Once they reach Hysterical, they have a chance of dying from laughter.
Enraged and Mortified can also cause death, except in Teens. Teen mood swings are never fatal, thankfully.
This! I think the buff from having a new child in the household is +40, that on top of whatever buffs my sim got from being naturally cheerful, food buff, environment buff, social buffs made him die hours after. It was so ridiculous, that was the time when I need both parents to be present, but ah well I went along with the story.
