Does it happen every time ? - katandmari7 years agoNew AdventurerYes, it does. One is a mermaid and one human. At first I thought it was b/c of being a mermaid, but the human sim gets the same buff

No they are newly created and not vegetarian - Quaay007 years agoRising VeteranAre they both soulmates with a dolphin?
- katandmari7 years agoNew AdventurerJust the mermaid. It doesn't seem to be happening any more though. I guess it fixed itself?
- Hi,
How do your sim learn how to do the new recipes fx. kalua pork? Because i have had my sim eat this dish more than 10 times and nothing have happend (have also tried the other new Island pack dishes) - I know this is late, but I recently began experiencing the same problem with my Child of the Ocean sims. They do not always have issues with kuala pork but it does happen periodically. Sometimes, for whatever reason, they apparently think its fish, not pork, and get the sad buff as a result. This has happened both with neighbor-supplied kuala pork as well as some cooked at home in the pit. It only seems to happen with the kuala pork and, as noted, not all the time, although it seems to happen more often than not. It's really kind of weird. I should also add that it definitely seems tied to the Child of the Ocean trait, not being a mermaid.
- There is a bug report about this Kalua Pork/stomach squell bug. I have the same bug in my game and nothing has helped me to solve it so I'm trying to get help there now.

For the Kalua pork you have to cook it in the big pit roaster oven in the ground. Same for the other new recipes I believe. In real life the Kalua pig roasts 24 hours in a pit like that wrapped in leaves. Lol My Grammie is from Hawaii so I am all checked out on the Kalua pork plate lunches!
My problem is that every time I let my sims make food on the roaster in the ground, they don't like the food and make silly noises when they eat it. And it has nothing to do with how clever they are at making food. All adult sims do it, no kids do it, and it is an issue, because I don't want to make food using the sand grill anymore.
