Hi @KestrelDC there are on/off settings for Neighborhood Stories, each individual element (having a baby, getting a job etc.) as well as an on/off for the whole save at once.
You can also customize settings individually for individual households.
Most of the settings are under Manage Households. The on/off for the whole save at once is under Game Options in the main menu.
