I agree that some presets are weird, however, it's possible to make them look decent by editing.
And some old "european" eye presets look cartoonish too, for example, this is just Disney:
I wish we had more non-monolid eye presets without lashes though. I don't mind ea lashes, actually, but they look unnatural on blonde and readheaded sims.
