I feel like it was just to release items to appeal to the more diverse community. Super excited about the afro curly hair. I was born in the Caribbean, so I feel really appreciated lol
Actually that is also what the devs said. They indicated they have more things like that and the Dwali stuff and more planned with other cultures as we go along. They said they want all simmers to feel their people and culture are represented in this game.
I look forward to it all.
I really hope they do a Celtic update/pack. I'm of Irish decent (although, my Nan's English and my mum was part Aboriginal - she died when I was about 6).
But the point of adding new cultures etc is to represent the different players that play the game NOW - not cultures in history. That is a totally different thing. Maybe if they ever did time travel back in time they might cover those kinds of clothing and ancient cultures. Let's face it people playing this game most likely are not out there wearing Celtic garb etc - and that is the point of adding Caribbean culture and the festival of light of the people from India, rhe day of the Dead of Mexico, etc as these people need representation of who they are now while playing this game - it has nothing to do with history for the clothing, hairs, recipes, and furnishings etc. Also from my understanding they will all be free - and not in any pack - for the players of this game so all actual players of the Sims 4 can be represented in the game.
