Occult Sims Gameplay Ideas!

Thank you, everyone, for your ideas and suggestions. I truly appreciate them! I will be updating this post with some content of my own once I start some of these challenges.  Thanks again!

My favourite occult storyline has involved Greg the misunderstood werewolf getting a life. Seriously, he made me so sad in his little hut with his keep out signs I couldn't take it any more. So first I got him a friend in the form of Spellcaster Aurora. She's a nature loving Spellcaster who lives in a castle with a unicorn, wild foxes and birds and she befriended him after a lot of effort and a few scars. The moment when this angry werewolf finally accepted a hug from her was quite emotional and gave her the Adoring sentiment. Then I created the ghost of Greg's lost wife Avelina along with the ghosts of the wolf/dog familiars Brutus, Verity, Gibby and Renga. It was a challenge getting their relationship maxed but eventually Greg was happily reunited with her...to Aurora's slight heartache. I put Avelina in Forgotten Hollow as the Vampires have been vanquished (by the delete button!) She has a portal to Moonwood Mill in her garden along with her trusty telescope. Because Greg doesn't live with her she can finally keep her house free from scratches and destruction. 🐺

My other favourite is my Paranormal investigator Olivia. She was on a mountain climbing expedition with her fiancé Kaveh. Kaveh was a quiet artist working on his own gallery and store. He didn't have the ability to climb as well as Olivia and died on an expedition. His grave is at the foot of the mountain. Olivia became obsessed with the occult and ghosts and began travelling to spooky worlds and bought a haunted house with a secret basement and a creepy attic. She communes with ghosts and chases off malevolent spirits. 💀

I absolutely love your "Risk" idea!!! I have not tried anything like this gameplay before, so I will definitely give it a chance as soon as possible. Also, the Discover University EP is one of my favourite packs, so thank you very much for incorporating this challenge with this specific pack. I am thinking that it would be neat to add a secret romance in the mix, just to make things even funnier and more complicated!

The "Story" idea of yours is also super entailing! I will definitely give it a go as well, and I was thinking that it would be neat to add some of the R&L families in, but unfortunately, I don't own the EP as of now, but I will be buying it soon, probably next month, for my birthday. I think  a "secret" unlegitimate heir, or something along these lines, would be hilarious to re-enact and have some of the more traditional families try to pretend that he/she doesn't exist. I would love to take some screenshots, if I remember it, as I seldom end up photographing my Sims, and share them over here. I will do my best to remember, though!

I'll throw out some ideas...

~ Occult University - take one of each Occult and have them share a dorm at University. Dama unfolds as the natural enemies (like Vampires and Werewolves) are forced to share a space. How will they each solve their unique problems and challenges in eating, resting, and getting to class and still pass the semester? 

~ Play out your own version of Midsummer Night's Dream. Take three couples and two mischief makers into one household and have the mischief makers (Occults) manipulate the emotions of the couples with their powers to flirt and chase the wrong partner. See who ends up with whom in the end. 

~ Play "Risk" with a world of Vampires and Werewolves. Start with two of each and have them fight each other or make a challenge. Whoever wins gains "territory" (a new lot or house) and gets to add another of their kind. The loser gets to raise a skill or power that will help them get the edge next time. (Fitness, archery, research, vampire or werewolf powers, archaeology, etc.) and they also get to choose the next challenge. Use Occults from the Gallery if you need them so you don't know what their skills and powers are. Whoever has the most territory in the end claims the world. (You can even move the Occults into existing households as they "take over". 

~ Story: Vlad decides to assemble a vampire council for power over Sim Nation. He and the Vatores  choose an iconic NPC to turn into a vampire (Bella Goth, Nancy Landgrab, Bob Pancakes, Don Lathario, etc.) so that Sim can influence the mortal world on their behalf. But that new Vampire creates another, and suddenly Vlad's authority is challenged in a power struggle. Perhaps each Vatore sibling chooses a different side, causing a larger rift. It is determined that whoever can create a Vampire heir first will be the Lord of the Vampires, but they must breed with a mortal, so there is a chance the child will not be born a vampire. If the Vampires are "old world" traditionalists, the heir must be male. (But you can decide on the specifics, of course. Perhaps there is a prophecy from a Spellcaster that describes the destined child, like a trait or a special part of their appearance like eye or hair color.) 

Anyway, whatever you choose to go with, have fun with it! 😊

Gosh, a Romeo and Juliet storyline between Occult Sims sounds like a spectacular idea! I will definitely try that! And could you imagine Vlad in a world full of vampires? He would absolutely be thrilled to have made it his lifelong dream! 🤣

1) Romeo and Juliet style storylines between different occults (werewolves vs vampires etc)

2) There’s Super Sim challenge by James Turner where one sim has to do everything including be every type of occult

3) I don’t know if this is possible, but might be fun to see if you convert an entire world into vampires. I bet it’s a challenge Vlad would love to sink his teeth into ...

Hi! I've got all Expansion Packs apart from Royalty and Legacy (which I will buy eventually, but not very soon), all Game Packs, and all Stuff Packs. I am currently missing about 20+ Kits but am planning to buy them in the upcoming months. I play with some CC and Mods but not a lot of them.

I currently am playing multiple Natural and Magical Survival Challenges (which was based on some trait combos test plays). Mostly dependent on EbN and occult EPs (but other packs were made to work too). It really allows for wiggle room though. I basically go from rotationally playing, to adding/mixing/matching households and Sims. To both do a challenge, and have storylines.
