Old Forums are read only now.
Just as the headline says: the old forums were set to 'read only' 10 min ago.

I'm so sad about it. I will miss going there, and seeing everyone I recognise. I don't recognise so many simmers here because I recognised avatars more than names 🙁 Let's hope we all get avatars here soon.
The last few days I was on the old forums, nothing much had changed. Ghost Town already. I'm only sad that I couldn't find the rest of my early updates on my story in the WHIYGT? Thread. Oh, well.
I thought someone (Cade maybe?) had said that we'd be able to use the avatar we have for AHQ, which made me happy because it's the same one I used on the old forums. I was disappointed when I logged in here and discovered I could only use preselected images. Like you said, lets hope we get them soon.
That's sad...
Well, I am hoping that the future here is bright. That these issues get fixed and it becomes better looking.
The end of an era. Very, very sad to know we are all now stuck with this messy forum or nothing. I hope they make improvements. If they want some ideas I'd be glad to help 😁
I'm slowly getting used to it. Emphasis on the word s-l-o-w-l-y. It's mostly just having what looks like rectangular thought bubbles, which are actually separate threads, or like in here, responses. Perhaps, they'll find a way to use a bar between threads to separate them a bit more? To at least do something to make each one stand out a little?
Yeah, it feels a bit... cramped... as it is now. I think a dark mode would also be nice. My eyes seem better able to distinguish bubbles like this if they are darker.
Farewell old avatar, I take you to try the new photo upload for the first time (it's seems to be easy) ...
I guess the only way to have your avatar on this site is to do it like this and just post your pic in every response that you do.
Not that it would get annoying and repetitive or anything....
But it is a method I guess!
Edited this just to see if this line would appear under the picture and aligned with the left side of the screen. And it does! Back to trying to make sense of this 'forum', or whatever it should be called.
Your old avatar is very nicealanmichael1 🙂 It is special that your first photo upload on this new forums is from the old forums, so is a mix of the old with the new.

this is sad even the french side of the old forum is read only since i went to check and this one will take some getting use to
Same happened to the German part of the old forum. Sadly we'll have to wait until they set up the new language forums.
