Open world totally breaks immersion for sure

I'd want open neighborhoods at the very least. Open world, I'd be fine without and I wouldn't care if it's there or not, but I just want open neighborhoods. Also with rabbit-holes, if it's open world, they're fine, unless it's a commercial building, which I would want fleshed out. But if it's open neighborhood, invisible ones, fine, but I don't want them taking up a whole lot. If you want a venue on a lot, make it open!
