Opinions on Cottage Living? Should I buy?

I felt the same with island living and this pack has yet to even get even close to boring. One of my favs up there with seasons. Tons of gameplay. You could easily get a ton of hours out of this as the gameplay loop is very enjoyable. Ive probably personally put about 40 hours into cottage livings gameplay.

Now I’ve done things multiple times but there is still other things in the pack I haven’t really messed with. For example I have multiple households with chickens, oversized crops and the simple living challenge. But I’ve only slightly messed with the errand system which also seems really good from what I’ve played. Most errands have multiple steps. Again I’m still not bored at all even repeating gameplay. It’s very replayable! I find the animals addicting to have in game and they are actually a challenge to keep up with especially with a large garden. The simple living lot challenge is such a simple thing but is one of my favorite features as it adds challenge and is realistic. That’s just a few of my favorite features but this pack really adds a lot.

I think if you like the idea of cozy gameplay that also adds some challenge to your sims life this is the pack for you :).

CAS is really cute and cozy. I like a lot of what comes with it. Of course men don’t get as much unfortunately but I do like what they got this time. Also the new toddler clothes are super cute. Bunnies can be used to help garden and can bring you gifts. Plus you can put adorable outfits on them lol. If you have nifty knitting you can knit many animal clothes too which is a cute touch.

I really hate to keep bothering you, especially when I have a pretty good idea of what your going to say, but do you think it’s worth the full $40?

I think Cottage Living is the best expansion pack since Seasons and think it's indeed worth the full price.

To be honest I’ve made a cottage core theme during the time I’m waiting for Cottage Living to go on sale with the stuff I have. By the time I can get the pack… will I? ???‍♂️.

On the gallery there was a cottage to download ready to prepare for Cottage Living. I got that and have made a little cottage neighbourhood in Windenburg. There’s no cows or chickens etc.

As I don’t have it yet no idea on the bugs but reading the posts here some are reporting lags or extra townies turning up. ??‍♂️

I never bought Island Living as it just doesn’t appeal.

I truly hate to keep asking more questions, but after posting this discussion, I found out apparently Cottage Living is really laggy and causes a bunch of issues. I already have some lag and I’m afraid anymore will make my game crash frequently. I don’t want anything happening to my save as it’s my first save that I’ve got extremely attached to and play a lot with around 5 or 6 generation. Does it lag a lot to you?

Mainly bought island living for the mermaids because I love the occult’s. Wouldn’t suggest buying it full price at all like I did.

I thought about doing something somewhat similar. My main sim is popping out babies like no tomorrow (which stems from me always wanting my sims to have children, so I gave into my whims and now she has 9 and pregnant again), so I thought about having one of her future daughters to take an interest in history, specifically the Victorian ages. Get Famous comes with a lot of nice dresses that sorta fit with that, so she’s gonna be my Victorian lady sim who lives In a Victorian Cottage. If I get Cottage Living I think it would be cute to let her have a bunch of little critters and some cats.
